Apollo 11 show (Lockdown project)

This show was my "lockdown project".
Like searching for a needle in a haystack, I sorted through highlights of all nine Apollo 11 mission days and paired my personal favorites and mission highlights in chronological order with classical music.
Paired, these already thrilling transmissions between Apollo 11 and Ground Control take on a whole new life. What awaits you is a one and a half hour special of some of the greatest composers to ever have lived and the sounds of
mankind’s greatest and most dangerous adventure.

On July 16 1969, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins set out
on mankind’s greatest and most dangerous adventure – the trip to the
moon.

Neil Armstrong’s words as he stepped on the lunar surface are
immortalised in history. With nine mission days in total though, there are a
whole lot of inspiring, humoring and breathtaking transmissions – all
of which are preserved in archives.

You will hear sounds from the following mission days:

  • Day 1: 5:16

  • Day 2: 9:33

  • Day 3: 16:16

  • Day 4: 25:15

  • Day 5 (Landing!): 30:40

  • Day 6: 46:50

  • Day 7: 54:16

  • Day 8: 1:01:19

  • Day 9: 1:08:37
